UAE authorities announce switch to remote learning for Ras Al Khaimah schools as heavy rain hits country

Schools in part of the UAE will switch to remote learning classes on Friday, November 17 as unstable weather hits the country.

Authorities in Ras Al Khaimah said schools would switch to remote learning to protect the safety of pupils and staff.

The Local Emergency, Crisis and Disaster Management Team said pupils of government schools would have classes away from school buildings and in their own homes.

The country’s National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) forecast rains in Ras Al Khaimah and issued an orange alert for parts of the emirate.
