Arabtec Holdings’ subsidiary Emirates Falcon Electromechanical Co (EFECO) is to carry out the mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) installation on Shaikh Holdings’ Sanctuary Falls project for an undisclosed sum.
The US $232 million (AED850 million) villa development is located within Jumeirah Golf Estates, Dubai. Arabtec Holdings will act as main contractor on the project under a contract worth $112 million.
EFECO will provide air conditioning, ventilation, electrical, plumbing and drainage systems for the 96-villa project. Construction of the project began in April 2008 and is scheduled for completion by Q1 of 2010.
Shaikh Holdings CEO Imran Shaikh commented: “We have taken our time to research and appoint the best quality contractors and subcontractors as our partners for the development.”
In a further announcement, residential systems integration firm Archimedia has won a contract to design and install a custom-built home automation and entertainment system for all 96 resort villas in the project.
The system will cover a wide range of functions including full lighting automation and climate control, safety and security features, an integrated intercom system and future-ready infrastructure.
