Passavant Energy & Environment secures renovation deal for treatment plant in Chisinau

Dubai-based Drake & Scull International has announced that its German subsidiary has secured a AED110 million ($30 million) contract to undertake the rehabilitation works for a wastewater treatment plant and new sludge treatment facilities in Chisinau, Moldova’s capital city.

Passavant Energy & Environment (PE&E) has entered into a consortium relationship with Ludwig Pfeiffer, a privately-owned construction contractor in Europe, to deliver its patented innovations and technologies to address the challenges posed by the complex rehabilitation works.

Passavant’s share of the project amounts to 50 percent of the total project contract value, a statement said.

Fares Khatib, CEO for Passavant, said the Chisinau project win marks DSI’s second contract award in 2018, marking an upswing in DSI’s operational recovery.

Established in 1842 in Germany, PE & E operates across Europe, MENA and Asia, including North Africa, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, China, India and Vietnam.
