As many as 30 companies from Kerala are participating in this year’s GITEX Global, the largest international tech and startup show.
The expo began at the Dubai World Trade Centre on Monday.
The southern Indian state said it will be showcasing its strong IT ecosystem before the world at the event.
The companies attending the event include 10 each from the state’s IT parks at Thiruvananthapuram, Kochi and Kozhikode.
They will be displaying products and conducting demos across a range of technological domains including data analytics, AI, cybersecurity, website development, ERP solutions, mobile app development, DevOps and cloud services.
The companies at the mega event include Aabasoft USA, Acube Innovations, Adviciya Solutions, Armia Systems Inc, Bluecast Technologies, Ceymox, CloudControl, Codelattice Digital Solutions, Dubai, Commerce9 and Craft Interactive.
As many as 27 startups supported by Kerala Startup Mission (KSUM) are also taking part in the Expand North Star 2024, a staple event of the five-day GITEX Global.
KSUM CEO Anoop Ambika said the expo provides a dynamic platform for startups from the state to connect with potential investors and showcase their innovative products and solutions.
“The event will pave the way for bagging business and investment opportunities for startups, besides finding ways to scale up their business,” he said.
Anoop said apart from displaying their products and solutions, the KSUM delegation will also explore greater expansion and investor-connect to the Middle East, especially in Dubai where KSUM has a Startup Infinity Centre.
KSUM said the Indian Embassy in UAE has taken a proactive interest to facilitate the Kerala startups through multiple side events.
The fund of fund partners of KSUM– Unicorn India Ventures and Sea Fund– visited the pavilion and enabled one-to-one interaction with startups.
KSUM’s Startup Infinity partner in Dubai and Onetreprenuer, which is the stakeholder of the ecosystem, are giving full-fledged support to the state delegation, it said.
KSUM has been participating in GITEX for the last eight years and it has become a platform for Kerala startups to unveil their products and solutions before the global community.
It is the nodal agency for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in the state.
