UAE weekend weather forecast: Rain expected in parts of country

National Centre of Meteorology shares UAE weather forecast for the weekend

Parts of the UAE will see rain this weekend, according to weather forecasts by the National Centre of Meteorology.

While the majority of areas will be “fair to partly cloudy” some regions will have rainfall the NCM said. Forecasts show the UAE cities Fujairah and Al Ain are both likely to see showers at the weekend.

Humidity is expected across the weekend and going into next week in the UAE, with dusty gusts also forecast.

Saturday, August 24: Fair in general and partly cloudy at times, with a chance of some convective clouds formation Eastward and Southward by afternoon may be associated with rainfall. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15-30kmph reaching 40kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea

Sunday, August 25: Fair to partly cloudy at times, with a probability of some convective clouds formation Eastward by afternoon. Humid by night and Monday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly to Northeasterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15-30kmph reaching 40kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea

Monday, August 26: Fair to partly cloudy at times. Humid by night and Tuesday morning over some coastal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15-30kmph reaching 40kmph. The sea will be slight in the Arabian Gulf and in Oman Sea

Tuesday, August 27: Fair to partly cloudy at times. Humid by night and Wednesday morning over some coastal and internal areas. Light to moderate Southeasterly, becoming Northwesterly winds, freshening at times causing blowing dust, with a speed of 15-30kmph reaching 40kmph. The sea will be slight to moderate at times in the Arabian Gulf and slight in Oman Sea
