Wide-ranging visa reform for residents is being matched by changes to tourism and transit visas for travellers coming to the UAE.
This week the official UAE Digital Government provided an update on the availability of visa on arrival for people of more than 70 nationalities coming to the UAE.

In a message on social media it said: “Some nationalities can obtain a #visaonarrival to the UAE, while others need to apply for a visa in advance,” before providing a guide offering a nation-by-nation updated visa availability for visitors coming to the UAE.
GCC citizens do not need a visa to enter the UAE, but simply need to produce their GCC country passport or national ID card at the point of entry into the UAE.
Some other nationalities can obtain a visa on arrival, while others need to apply for a visa in advance.
Providing they have an original passport, with at least six months left before the date of expiry, and a round-trip airline ticket or confirmed ticket to another destination, citizens of select other countries don’t need to apply for a visa in advance and can acquire a visa on arrival.
Visa on arrival is offered in 30 and 90-day categories depending on the country passport. Mexican passport holders are offered a visa on arrival valid for 180 days.
