Certain areas of the UAE will experience rain today, as the country experiences mild effects of the tropical cyclone Mekunu.
NCM officials stressed that the cyclone, which is expected to continue moving towards west and northwest Dhofar in Oman, will not reach the UAE, according to its medium-ranged forecast from Numerical Weather Predictions.
While Oman will continue to experience heavy rain over the next two days, the UAE may see rainy conditions in the the eastern and the southern parts of the country, with fresh winds blowing dust and sand, which will lead to hazy and partly cloudy to cloudy weather in general.
Tomorrow is exected to be partly cloudy and hazy at times, with a chance of rainy convective clouds formation over eastern and southern areas.
