UAE has announced that Monday, January 1, 2018, will be a public holiday for the UAE’s private sector.
Nasser Al Hameli, Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced the decision in a circular issued today.
Earlier this week, it was announced that employees of UAE federal ministries and other government entities will be given two days off for to mark New Year’s.
According to the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR), the official holiday period for public sector works will be December 31, 2017, and Monday, January 1, 2018.
