Dubai real estate sector recorded $3.7bn of transactions last week, including $16m Business Bay apartment

Dubai's Real Estate Boom

The Dubai real estate sector recorded AED13.58bn ($3.7bn) of transactions last week, according to data from the Land Department.

Sales dominated the figures, with AED10.42bn ($2.8bn), according to Land Department data.

In total there were 3,894 sales transactions recorded between December 9 and December 13.

Dubai real estate this week

Among the most expensive sales transactions listed on the Land Department website were:

  • An apartment in the Dorchester Collection in Business Bay sold for AED57.5m ($15.7m)
  • An apartment in Ela Residences by Omniyat in Palm Jumeirah sold for AED40.6m ($11m)
  • An apartment in Marina Apartments in Palm Jumeirah sold for AED37.25m ($10.1m)

The Land Department also showed mortgage deals worth AED2.27bn ($618m) last week.

Gift transactions in the same period were valued at AED889m ($242m).
