Union Properties launches second project in a month in Dubai’s Motor City

Chairman says Motor City Hills launch is part of plan to restore Union Properties among top developers in Dubai

Union Properties has signed an investment agreement with real estate broker Aqua Properties to launch Motor City Hills in Motor City in Dubai, its second launch in a month.

The first phase of the AED500 million project will consist of 415 three-storey townhouse villas and is scheduled for completion in 2024.

The project, located on land owned by Union Properties in the heart of Motor City, will also feature a range of communal amenities such as swimming pools, green playgrounds and children’s play areas.

Khalifa Hassan Al Hammadi, Union Properties chairman, said the announcement is part of efforts to “return Union Properties to its prestigious position alongside the leading real estate developers in Dubai”.

“This is considered the second shift in implementing the company’s board of directors’ vision to complete the development of the said area, which comes after laying the foundation stone for the first project, Motor City Views and the second during this year and in less than a month from the launch of the first project,” he added.

Ali Tumbi, founder of Aqua Properties, said: “We are very excited about this new project consisting of uniquely designed three-storey townhouses as we have seen a change in the demand for the type of real estate during the last period as a result of the pandemic shifting to Villas and townhouses.

“This community will target mid-income residents who wish to live in a vibrant and fully developed community such as Motor City.”

He added that the project’s sales would start in October.

Last week, Union Properties said it has appointed UAE-based Airolink as the EPC contractor for its new AED800 million Motor City Views project in Dubai (pictured above).

Motor City Views is the first launch of the proposed phased developments in Motor City, cumulatively valued at over AED2.2 billion.

The project has a built-up area of over 1 million square feet featuring 880 residences comprising 313 studios, 427 one-bedroom apartments, 133 two-bedroom apartments, and seven three-room apartments.
