Careem is expanding its on-demand delivery service – Careem Box – to include Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, the company has announced.
Embedded in the existing Careem app as a new car type, Careem Box allows users to see where their package it, and offers an option to pick up and drop any item.
Using a second option – called ‘shop and drop’ – Careem captains will shop for any item on the customer’s behalf, with the amount limited to AED 350.
“We are excited to be extending our delivery offering, Careem Boxe, to Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, especially during times like these,” said Careem UAE general manager Gheed ElMakkaoui.
“We’ve seen this product simplify our customers’ day-to-day lives in Dubai and hope to do the same across the rest of the UAE.” ElMakkaoui added. “This is just the start of our super app strategy, enabling us to expand our services, all under one app.”
Careem Box is currently available from 6 AM to 12 AM in Abu Dhabi and from 6 AM to 7 PM in Sharjah, with prices starting as low as AED 14.
