FIFA president Ganni Infantino will be among the guests at the upcoming Dubai International Sports Conference (DISC) in January, it has been announced.

The 13th edition of the event will take place at Madinat Jumeirah on January 2 and 3 and will be held under the theme of “football and the economy”.

Other speakers at the event will include former Brazil, Barcelona and Inter Milan star Ronaldo, France manager Didier Deschamps and Juventus star Blaise Matuidi.

Deschamps – who is one of only three people to have won the World Cup as a player and manager – and the other two men will participate in a session entitled “the world cup experience and value of success.”

The event will end with the Dubai Global Soccer Awards, for which Infantino will be a presenter.

“We are really pleased with the glittering array of speakers we have managed to attract for this year and the line-up for the 13th edition confirms the significance of this conference in the wider football world and cements Dubai’s reputation as one of the top sporting destinations of the world,” Saeed Mohammed Hareb, secretary general of the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) said last week.
