Saudi Arabia witnessed increased travel rates during Ramadan this year as people around the world looked for a “profound cultural and spiritual experience,” according to new Skyscanner data.
March 28 emerged as the most popular travel date for those embarking to the Kingdom.
“As Skyscanner reveals the peak travel date to Saudi Arabia during Ramadan, it’s evident that travellers are seeking not just a journey, but a profound cultural and spiritual experience. The influx of visitors underscores the significance of this holy month, drawing people from diverse corners of the globe to engage in religious observances and immerse themselves in the rich tapestry of Saudi Arabia’s heritage,” said Ayoub El Mamoun, Skyscanner Travel Expert.
“In addition, 43 percent of travellers are on the lookout for holidays spanning 1-2 weeks long, while more than half (51 percent) are looking to book holidays for a week or less, and 6 percent are keen to book longer holidays lasting up to a month,” he added.
