Saudi Arabia has announced the first day of Eid Al Adha will be Sunday, June 16 after the crescent moon was spotted on Thursday.
A Saudi Supreme Court statement said Arafat Day falls on Saturday, June 15, while Sunday, June 16 will be the first day of Eid Al Adha.
It means that the month of Dhu Al Hijjah will begin on Friday, June 7.
- Arafat Day: Dhu Al Hijjah 9, corresponding to Saturday, June 15
- Eid Al Adha 2024: Dhu Al Hijjah 10 to 12, corresponding to Sunday, June 16 to 18
