Saudi Arabia has welcomed more than 532,000 for the current Hajj season, with the vast majority flying in.
The General Directorate of Passports announced that by May 26, a total of 532,958 pilgrims had arrived in Saudi Arabia for this year’s Hajj season.
This figure is that of pilgrims entering the Kingdom through all border crossings.
Hajj 2024 in Saudi Arabia
The majority of pilgrims arrived by air, with a small number coming by sea:
- Air arrivals: 523,729
- Land arrivals: 9,210
- Sea arrivals: 19
The directorate emphasised its commitment to facilitating a smooth arrival experience for all pilgrims.
This includes making full use of the latest technology and staffing international ports in the Kingdom with multilingual personnel to assist with entry procedures.
