Dubai’s Danube launches $81m affordable homes project

Developer says Glamz project aims to support its “stop renting, start owning” push

Danube Properties has announced the launch of its sixth project – Glamz Residence – a AED300 million ($81 million) development in Dubai’s Al Furjan area targeted at the affordable housing sector.

The developer said in a statement that the project aims to support its “stop renting, start owning” push.

It said Glamz offers a selection of 418 studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom apartments, each fitted with a European technology enabled convertible sofa that makes way for a bed tucked into the wall.

The amenities provided in Glamz Residence include landscaped gardens, grand lobby, air-conditioned party hall-cum-kids play area, jogging track, paddle tennis court, paddle badminton court, barbeque deck, health club with steam room and sauna and swimming pool.

Rizwan Sajan, founder and chairman, Danube Group said: “We are delighted to announce the launch of Glamz Residence with an aim to encourage people to ‘stop renting and start owning’.” 

Glamz is located in Al Furjan, next to Discovery Gardens which will feature over 4,000 homes.

Danube said its first project Dreamz is on schedule for delivery while other projects – Glitz 1, Glitz 2, Glitz 3 and Starz are all 4-5 months ahead of schedule.

It added that every project to date has been sold out within few weeks of their respective launches.
