China holds National Day celebrations

Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang led celebrations at a dinner marking the 64th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. The event took place at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, China. On 1 October, 1949, Chinese leader Mao Zedong stood at the Tiananmen Rostrum to declare the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
