Chris Froome all but secured a fourth Tour de France title by finishing third in Saturday’s 20th stage time-trial in Marseille as Maciej Bodnar took the stage victory.

Rigoberto Uran moved into second overall at 54 seconds, set to be the tightest winning margin of Froome’s four Tour successes, while Romain Bardet held on for third by just one second ahead of Mikel Landa.

UAE Team Emirates made their Tour de France debut this year, and had a number of successes. Louis Meintjes will finish the tour in eighth position in the general classificaton.

During the tour Diego Ulissi produced an inspirational ride to grab second place on stage 15 and in doing so, recorded the best result for the team on the  Tour. The Italian looked full of confidence as he joined the counter-attacking group early on in the race and was successful in the sprint finish, overcoming three other riders in the battle to the finish line.

Darwin Atapuma produced one of the most inspiring rides of the Tour, finishing second on stage 18, earning the red bib for his efforts as the most aggressive rider.
