Good news for jobseekers in the Gulf.

A recent survey from UAE-based jobs portal Naukrigulf suggested an upward trend in the region’s jobs market, despite challenges such as salary mismatches and skill shortages.

The report highlighted low attrition rates indicate workforce stability, with the positive trend reflected in the Naukrigulf platform which experienced increased job postings and user engagement.

Naukrigulf Hiring Outlook analyses the Gulf jobs landscape for the next six months based on a comprehensive survey conducted among employers and recruitment consultants. The findings reveal a positive sentiment towards job creation during the period of July-December 24 – 83 percent of respondents are planning to engage in hiring activities.

Sales and marketing roles are the most sought-after, reflecting the region’s focus on
business expansion. This is followed by Operations (14 percent) and Finance (14 percent) roles.

Sales and marketing: 17 percent
Engineering (non-IT): 14 percent
Operations and supply chain: 14 percent
Finance: 14 percent
Human resources: 12 percent
IT software: 10 percent
Customer support service: 8 percent
Administration/Facility: 7 percent
Others: 3 percent
