In pictures: Ukraine faces blackout as Russia’s massive Kamikaze drones strike

Ukrainians are reportedly being urged not to use electric appliances at certain times

Over 1,000 towns and villages are now facing power cuts and water shortages after Russian Kamikaze drones struck the country for a week.

More than 70 people have been killed in the strikes that began on October 7.

Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that 30 percent of Ukraine’s power stations had been destroyed in the past eight days.

Ukraine capital Kyiv, has been reported to have no power and water after new strikes on Tuesday.

According to the BBC, Ukrainians are being urged not to use electric appliances between 07:00 – 09:00 local time (04:00 – 06:00 GMT) and 17:00 – 22:00 on a daily basis.
