In pictures: Sporting icons who created a buzz at Expo 2020

The who’s who in the world of sport including the likes of Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, John McEnroe, and Sir Lewis Hamilton visited Expo 2020 in Dubai

With more than 30,000 events taking place over 180 days, the six-month Expo 2020 was a hive of activity, providing 3,094 hours of sports programming and activities, and playing host to some of the top sporting icons from around the world.

Kevin Brown, the vice president of the Master Calendar-Events and Entertainment at Expo 2020 Dubai said: “Sports, fitness, and wellbeing were an integral part of the eclectic mix of activities and entertainment here at Expo 2020. We are also privileged to have welcomed so many of the biggest icons and legends of world sport.”
