Dubai Police add Nissan GT-R to its luxury fleet

The latest evolution of a model launched back in 2007, the Nissan GTR is capable of reaching 100kph 2.8 seconds

Dubai Police has added the Nissan GTR and Nissan Patrol to its fleet of luxury vehicles.

Joining the likes of Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari FF, Audi A8, McLaren MP4-12C, Aston Martin One-77 and Lamborghini Aventador, the Nissans GTR was officially unveiled by the car manufacturer this week.

The latest evolution of a model launched back in 2007, the Nissan GTR is capable of reaching 100kph 2.8 seconds.

In comparison, the BMW i8, also part of the fleet, does the same in 4.4 seconds, and has a top speed of 256kph.

Major General Khamis Mattar Al Mazeina, said: “Dubai Police Force has always sought, through the introduction its fleet of supercars, to enhance the security of the emirate.

“With the addition of the new luxury patrols, Dubai Police will have its presence strengthened in popular tourist areas, such as near the Burj Khalifa and the Shaikh Mohammad bin Rashid Boulevard.”

Dubai Police also took delivery of Nissan Patrol vehicles from the suppliers,  AW Rostamani Group.
