Abu Dhabi Police has warned motorists against wrong parking in front of mosques during Ramadan, especially during the Tarawih prayer time.
Parking on the sidewalk is also prohibited. Motorists are urged to avoid stopping halfway, blocking entrances, and pedestrian crossings.
The announcement was posted through the Abu Dhabi Police social media account.
“Don’t waste other people’s time and block their movement by stopping behind their vehicles,” the video explained.
The video further explained that parking incorrectly can endanger others, “especially in urgent and health emergencies.”
Motorists are urged to follow the rules and be aware of the traffic regulations.
Last week, Umm Al Quwain announced new fines for pedestrian crossing violators. Fines of AED500 and six black points will be applicable to those who fail to follow the rules.
Motorists will be monitored through solar-powered AI radars, implemented on April 3.
