UAE, Saudi residents revealed that cash is the most desirable Eid gift in 2023, according to a survey by YouGov. Following cash, survey respondents expressed interest in clothes, footwear, spiritual wellness gifts and vouchers or gift cards.
The survey further revealed that most residents in the UAE are planning to spend their money this Ramadan on donations while in Saudi respondents revealed a higher interest in a family holiday.
Residents also revealed that a majority like to stick to a budget (54 percent) only 18 percent said they like to splurge on Eid gifts.
Social media plays an important role as a source of information for gift ideas followed by in-store browsing, brand websites and recommendations from friends and family.
The survey was conducted based on interviews with 2,023 adults in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
