Establishments in Sharjah can apply for special permits to extend work hours during the holy month of Ramadan, following the announcement of the reduction of work hours for private and public sectors in the UAE.

Restaurants, bakeries and cafeterias are exempt from the requirement as they are allowed to extend operation hours after midnight without the permit.
