UAE announces 4-day Eid Al Adha holiday for private sector in 2022

Eid Al Adha holiday for the private sector will start from July 8, Friday to July 11, Monday, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has announced.

Work will resume on Tuesday, July 12, state news agency Wam has reported, citing the ministry.

The UAE government earlier announced the dates for the public sector.

Flight ticket prices are increasing as travel demand goes up

According to data from travel company Wego, average airfare to some of the top destinations for UAE travellers have increased.

Average airfare to Egypt, one of the top destinations for UAE travellers this summer, stood at $551 – jumping by 41 percent compared to the same period last year. Average airfare to India more than doubled to $379.

Ticket prices to Jordan, Turkey, Morocco, Thailand, and Lebanon were also on the rise, the company told Arabian Business.
