A blood moon lunar eclipse will be seen in the UAE skies on Tuesday afternoon, following the partial solar eclipse two weeks ago.
The moon will turn into a shade of red as the moon, sun and earth align in an unusual phenomenon.
This will be the last lunar eclipse for three years, the next one is only set to be visible in 2025. The eclipse will last around an hour and twenty minutes but will only be visible for 23 minutes in the UAE.
The UAE will not witness the total lunar eclipse, only a partial view will be visible, called the Penumbral Eclipse.
The phenomenon can be witnessed virtually through various channels that will be live streaming the event.
The eclipse will be visible to those in North America before sunrise, those in Asia, Australia and other pacific regions will witness it at sunset.
