UAE mosques will limit Friday sermons to 10 minutes during the summer, said the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments.
The move comes as temperatures cross the 50 degree level in the United Arab Emirates and authorities look to ensure the safety of worshippers.
The reduced sermon duration will be in place from Friday, June 28 until October.
