UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi is celebrating Eid Al Adha in the International Space Station, around 400km above the Earth’s surface.
The inspirational astronaut has taken to social media during the Eid Al Adha holidays to share a message with followers down at ground level.
Al Neyadi is part-way through the longest Arab space mission, during which he will spend six months in orbit.

Dressed in a traditional Emirati kandura the astronaut congratulated everyone on the occasion of Eid and wished blessings on all.
During the video he was joined by Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre mascot, Suhail, who floated around in zero gravity.
As has proven popular with fans, space enthusiasts and Dubai residents alike Al Neyadi also took the opportunity to share another stunning photograph of Dubai.
In a tweet senton Friday, Sultan Al Neyadi said: “Say hello to the place that is a microcosm of the world. Our stunning Dubai as seen from space”.
