UAE government schools will observe remote learning on Tuesday and Wednesday, due to heavy rains and weather fluctuations expected in the nation.
The UAE Emirates Foundation for School Education, called for government schools to switch to remote learning to preserve the safety of the administrative and teaching staff as well as students.
On Sunday, the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has issued a weather advisory outlining the expected fluctuations in weather patterns across the country in the coming days.
According to the advisory, starting from Sunday and continuing until Monday morning, a surface low pressure system is predicted to linger to the south, which will somewhat alleviate instability. However, intermittent rainfall is expected, particularly in coastal and southern regions.
The UAE has also called on private companies to take safety precautions to protect workers from danger during rainy weather expected to hit the country.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (MoHRE) advised companies to protect the health and safety of workers.
It also said companies must make sure workers are safe and protected when commuting to work.
