This move is part of the country’s broader “Zero Government Bureaucracy” initiative which aims to simplify administrative processes and enhance efficiency.

Key changes

  • Automatic lifting: Travel restrictions are now automatically removed for eligible individuals, eliminating the need for personal requests.
  • Instant processing: The previous multi-step, day-long process has been replaced by an instantaneous, paperless system.
  • Reduced bureaucracy: Nine steps have been eliminated from the previous procedure, achieving a “100 percent zero bureaucracy rate.”
  • Time efficiency: Processing time has been cut from one working day to just minutes.
  • No attachments required: The need for documentation, such as proof of lawsuit termination, has been completely removed.

This streamlined approach is expected to have a positive impact on the quality of life for UAE residents and support the country’s sustainable economic development.

The ministry highlighted these changes as the most notable improvements in the Federal Public Prosecution’s services under the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” programme.

The new system not only speeds up the process of lifting travel bans but also eliminates all legal procedures previously required from the customer. This transformation of the “lifting of travel bans” service into a proactive, automated process represents a significant step forward in the UAE’s governmental operations.

By simplifying procedures and removing unnecessary requirements, the Emirates is entering a new phase of governmental work, focusing on efficiency and user-friendliness.
