The achievement contributes towards realising the global objective of reducing road deaths by 50 per cent by the end of the UN Second Decade of Action for Road Safety 2021-2030.
This achievement corresponds with the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
The Kingdom has developed a methodology for following up on the strategic performance maturity indicators by setting annual targets that directly impact the maturity indicators to achieve the approved annual strategic target for reducing deaths per 100,000 people.
