Saudi Arabia‘s Ministry of Culture has launched an e-portal for local and international suppliers.
The new platform will allow suppliers to seamlessly administrate registration processes, data update, announce competitions, refer invoices and certificates of achievement, as reported by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
“The Suppliers’ Portal aims at building a comprehensive, accurate and specialised database of competent suppliers to improve the quality of services, increase the level of transparency and equality and instill the concept of fair competition,” the report said.
Suppliers will be able to carry out numerous processes such as:
- Delivery and updating legal documents and requirements of financial and technical competence.
- Check on available competitions and projects.
- Refer and follow up on invoices and certificates of achievement.
- Follow up on purchase orders.
- Refer inquiries and request related to projects.
- Register and express interest to work with the ministry and affiliated cultural commissions and entities.
- Refer tables of quantities.
- Issue letters of ending terms of contracts and purchase orders.
- Observe performance and evaluate the services of any given supplier.
The introduction of this e-portal for suppliers is in line with the cultural goals of the Saudi Vision 2030, which emphasises on culture as “one of the components of Quality of Life,” the statement said.
