Saudi authorities complete preparations in Mina to receive 1 million Hajj pilgrims

The Commands of the Hajj Security Forces also announced their readiness to ensure the security and safety of the pilgrims during the Hajj season

The Saudi government departments and authorities responsible for Hajj season 2022 have completed their preparations to receive one million pilgrims on Thursday, July 7, in Mina to spend Tarwiyah (watering) Day.

The Ministry of Hajj has completed its operational plan for this year’s Hajj season, Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Commands of the Hajj Security Forces also announced their readiness to ensure the security and safety of the pilgrims during the Hajj season, in line with the directives from the Kingdom’s leadership.

The health sector provides medical services through four hospitals and 26 health centres in Mina with 550 beds and ambulance services.

It also offers 97 ambulance centres affiliated with the Saudi Red Crescent Authority with a fleet of 320 ambulances, six air ambulances, nine motorcycles and four golf carts, in addition to four medical supply vehicles and 16 response vehicles, with 1,288 medical staff.

The National Water Company provided an operational and strategic storage facility to pump 2.4 million cubic metres through its networks, while the Saudi Electricity Company enhanced its services in Makkah and the holy sites through 46 new projects.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association has provided 2,200 scouts to serve the pilgrims in Mina.

Such voluntary missions will support the efforts of the government and private sector to serve pilgrims.
