Saudi authorities seized 54kg of cocaine hidden inside a shipment of bananas.
The Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) at King Abdullah Port in Rabigh thwarted an attempt to smuggle the 54kg of cocaine, which was found hidden in a consignment of bananas coming into the Kingdom through the port.
ZATCA said it is committed to tightening customs control of the Kingdom’s imports and exports, stressing that it will stay vigilant to thwart smuggling attempts in coordination and cooperation with its partners at the General Directorate of Narcotics Control to ensure the security of society.
