Saudi Arabia achieved a new record in the field of agriculture, with its demonstration farms affiliated with the research unit for agriculture with renewed water in Wadi Bin Hashbal in the Asir region entering the Guinness World Records.

It is listed by the global body as the largest farm in the world in terms of area. The total area of the farm is 3.20 million square meters, and it is divided into two parts.

Each part has a concrete tank with a 500 cubic metres capacity attached to them.

They also have automatic irrigation networks for all crops in the two fields.

The farm, containing five air-conditioned greenhouses, relies on treated water to irrigate crops, and the irrigation process is carried out in several stages by experts and specialists
in various specialties.

The experts also supervise and monitor all agricultural operations on the farm, which has 50 fields for fruit trees and 20 fields for other crops.

The farm cultivates different types of crops and fruits, the most prominent of which are lemons, oranges, tangerines, pomegranates, grapes, figs, almonds, and olives.

It also has experimental fields that contain many diverse agricultural varieties.
