Saudi Arabia has opened applications for expats in the country to apply for Makkah entry permits.
The General Directorate of Passports announced that it began accepting electronic applications for entry permits to Makkah for resident workers during the Hajj season.
Applications can be submitted via the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platform, Absher, and the Muqeem Portal, eliminating the need to visit passport department offices.

The service is technically integrated with the unified digital platform for issuing Hajj permits—the Tasreeh platform.
The Absher Individuals platform enables the issuance of permits for domestic workers, dependents, Premium Residency holders, investors, mothers of citizens, and citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, after the required documents are attached.
Through the Muqeem electronic portal, entry permits to Makkah are issued for workers in establishments headquartered in Makkah, holders of seasonal work visas, and individuals with employment contracts with those establishments during the Hajj season.
