The total number of worshipers who visited the Masjid al-Haram during the first 20 days of Ramadan amounted to more than 22 million people, Saudi authorities said on Thursday.

General President of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and Prophet’s Mosque Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais said the Presidency prepared the Grand Mosque through an operational plan and strategy that provided all means of convenience and facilitated all services for worshipers to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.

“We also ensured the availability of safety means inside the Grand Mosque and communication with the relevant authorities,” he said.

He also hailed the Saudi leadership for supporting the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors and for creating the best conditions for worshippers to perform their rituals easily.
