Nasa scientists have announced there may be life on the moon.
Scientists at the US space agency, have reported that there could be life on the moon’s surface.
One of the most striking things the team has found is that the lunar south pole may possess the properties that can enable survival and potentially even episodic growth of certain microbial life, a planetary researcher at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Centre, Prabal Saxena said.
Life on moon claims Nasa
“We’re currently working on understanding which specific organisms may be most suited for surviving in such regions and what areas of the lunar polar regions, including places of interest relevant to exploration, may be most amenable to supporting life,” he said.
The microbes left by humans on the moon by previous missions in the last 50 years impacted the early terrestrial source, NASA Goddard organic geochemist Heather Graham pointed out.
There are scheduled trips to the lunar visits in November 2024 as part of NASA’s Artemis missions.
