Dubai’s multi-cultural destination, Global Village officially wrapped up its 27th season last week. The season commenced in October 2022 and had over 40,000 shows, 170 rides and games, Ripley’s Believe it or Not! museum and 27 pavilions.
The destination will remain closed for six months and the next edition which marks season 28 is set to begin in October 2023.
During Ramadan 2023 the Majlis of the World made a return, where guests can order Iftaar or Suhoor meals or bring food from any of the 200+ locations in the park, to consume within the air-conditioned location located next to the main stage.
“Visitors created fond memories while enjoying board games, the pleasant beats of the oud drums, and basking in the tradition of live folk performances,” reads the official website.
“A more wonderful world will return,” Global Village said via a Twitter post.
“We’re not just waving goodbye… It’s just for some time and we promise to bring you even more in season 28… See you soon!” said another Twitter post on the official Global Village Twitter account.
Visitors of the next season can expect the classics including pavillions, the carnival, food and beverage stalls as well as some likely additions based on Global Village’s goodbye message promising more in season 28.
