Arabian Business Awards return to honour 50 years of the UAE and 50 years ahead

From celebrating businesses that helped build the UAE, to championing the innovators of the future, our glittering event promises to be the ‘Oscars’ of Emirates’ industry

As the UAE strides boldly into the next 50 years of its inspiring journey, the Arabian Business Awards are set to return to honour businesses that shaped the Emirates’ success story and to champion the innovators who will help write its next chapter.

On January 26, at the Etihad Museum in Dubai, built on the spot where the United Arab Emirates was founded, the Arabian Business Awards 2021 will look back at the last 50 years, and capture the excitement for the decades ahead with a day of insights and an evening of celebration.

In our first industry ‘Oscars’ to be presented at a spectacular gala dinner, a host of honours are up for grabs with 10 industries being awarded, two winners from each category – with one marking five decades of success and one honouring the innovators of the future.

An editorial board from across ITP’s industry verticals and Arabian Business are handpicking nominations for these categories, and the list of finalists will be announced soon. The glittering event will also feature a keynote speaker of international standing. Previous speakers have included such names as HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, King Abdullah II of Jordan and former British prime minister, Tony Blair.

The daytime event will also lean into the future with our exciting AB SME Forum, which, also in a first, will feature the Future Falcons pitch event. Budding start-ups will present their ideas in the hope of winning a prize package that includes funding, media support and mentoring from Arabian Business and leading entrepreneurs.

It will also include a masterclass session with an ‘all you need to know’ for start-ups and growing SMEs, and a panel discussion with more tips on how to win.
