The portfolio covers more than 6,000 hotel rooms and serviced residences, 10,000,000 sq.ft hotel real estate and 1,000,000 sq. leisure real estate.

My experience spans over 20 years in asset management, development and hospitality advisory services, primarily within the Middle East. I have held multiple roles across the industry including Hotel Manager, Asset Manager, Director of Development, Director of Rooms, Revenue Manager, Director of Food and Beverage and Operations Analyst. After working for the likes of Jumeirah Group and InterContinental Hotels I then started my own hospitality advising firm and the eventual merging with RAK Hospitality Holding LLC.

I have been the Industry Chair for the Hotel Asset Management Association and have a BSc from Aberdeen University.

With experience in hotel investment, development and operations and a diverse team of hospitality professionals, the company provides specialised subject matter expertise.

The aim is to aid the clients’ respective hospitality and leisure real estate throughout the hospitality life cycle – from planning (acquisition and development) to disposition, and in all economic cycles in the most effective and efficient way through meticulous due diligence, critical thinking, planning and ongoing risk management. Development advisory

Analysis of hospitality projects aims to reduce risk and optimize returns. The development management work ensures that the development fits within the overall growth strategy and adds value to the existing portfolio; all aspects of the development make commercial sense; an appropriate management or lease agreement is negotiated and that the owner is represented in all project meetings.

Asset specific advice is available and considered; there is a constant focus on the budget and cost of decisions are always considered before execution; the consultants are continuously assessed and are in compliance with their scope of work; issues are identified in advance of occurring and, in an independent manner, consequences and resolutions are communicated to the owner; sufficient benchmark analysis is available for the asset specific construction packages.

Pre-opening

Overseeing of financial responsibility while participating in the execution of the business plan, guiding and approving the Operators’ commercial, operational and financial strategies. The team at this stage provides: pre-opening program development; risk identification and solutions; financial management with cash-flow visibility; construction team interface; licenses and government approval coordination operating and specialised equipment procurement management; staff recruitment and on-boarding.

Operator selection

On behalf of operator selection owners, Stirling Hospitality Advisors has built strong and respected working relationships with all the leading operators, allowing us to understand each brand’s strength and align the optimal operating partner for each hospitality investment. We then use our extensive experience in hotel management agreements to minimise contractual risk through the negotiation of an effective owner/operator relationship.
