Turkey-Syria earthquake: Dubai’s Emirates continues to offer aid through humanitarian airbridge

Emirates Airlines has been operating a humanitarian airbridge In the wake of the devastating earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. The initiative is used to transport vital aid and relief supplies.

Emirates alongside with Dubai’s International Humanitarian City is working on this initiative, the airline is providing support with cargo and transport.

“What you are seeing loaded today, is what the IHC people picked yesterday. So during the night, we have done the preparations for the flight today,” said Henrik Ambak, SVP Cargo Operations Worldwide, Emirates.

On Monday, Arabian Business reported that a 5.6 magnitude hit Southern Turkey, reportedly killing one person and injuring several others. This follows three earthquakes that hit the region on February 6 and February 20 of 7.8, 6.4 and 5.8 magnitudes respectively.
