Sharjah ruler orders AED50,000 compensation for rain-damaged homes

Sharjah ruler increased rain damage compensation to more than $4m

Sharjah will offer up to AED50,000 ($13,600) in compensation to cover homes affected by UAE rain damage.

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has ordered an increase in compensation for individuals whose homes were affected by the recent rainstorm to AED50,000 ($13,600).

Sheikh Sultan approved the value of the compensations, which amount to AED15,330,000, ($4.2m) benefiting 618 cases.

Sharjah Social Services will immediately begin distributing these compensations to the beneficiaries.

These directives from the Ruler of Sharjah came during the Direct Line program, which is broadcasted on Sharjah Radio and Television.
