In the billionaire’s newest venture, announced on Wednesday, Elon Musk has released his own fragrance called ‘Burnt Hair’. Each bottle costs $100, available for purchase on The Boring Company website. Over 20,000 bottles were sold, with over 10,000 being sold within a few hours of launch.

The company has reportedly made over $1m in a short span after launch.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Musk said “Please buy my perfume, so I can buy Twitter.”

He also tweeted saying “With a name like mine, getting into the fragrance business was inevitable – why did I even fight it for so long!?”

Accepted payment methods also include Dodgecoin, he announced.

The website describes the scent as “Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work” and “Stand out in a crowd! Get noticed as you walk through the airport.”

The scent is set to start shipping in the first quarter of 2023.

The Boring Company has sold other unusual products in the past, one of it being, a flamethrower. Called ‘Not-A-Flamethrower’ which Musk said was done with consideration of foreign laws which prohibited possession of flamethrowers. Each flamethrower costed $500 and over 20,000 were sold. There was also a banded fire extinguisher sold separately at $30.
