Former One Direction singer Liam Payne has compared Dubai to the American city of Las Vegas and said “everything’s a little bit of a show there”.
The British singer was last in the emirate when he performed alongside Rita Ora at the Global Teacher Prize concert in March.
“There’s an air of something almost Vegas-y about Dubai,” Payne told Esquire Middle East magazine, “everything’s a little bit of a show there”.
The 25 year-old is used to playing to large crowds in Dubai, with his Global Village gig last year attracting over 110,000 guests to the park.
“I didn’t eat anything at dinner beforehand because I was thinking no-one’s going to turn up,” said of the 2018 gig.
