Tremors felt in UAE following earthquake in Iran

Residents in Ras Al Khaimah felt slight effects of the earthquake, but “without any effect”

Ras Al Khaimah termors on Sunday afternoon following an earthquake in Iran that measured 5.0 on the Richter Scale. 

The UAE’s National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said the earthquake’s epicentre was Qeshm Island in South Iran, at a depth of 42km.

The earthquake happened at 2.54pm (UAE time), according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCMS). 

The NCM said residents in Ras Al Khaimah felt slight effects of the earthquake, but “without any effect”. There were also reports of tremors being felt in Sharjah and Ajman.
