Dubai developer Emaar Properties is to launch two
more towers at Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons, just weeks after the joint
venture with Dubai Holding was unveiled to the public.
The two towers are part of the six-tower Dubai
Creek Residences cluster which will make up the first phase of the mega
project. The first tower project was launched at Dubai Creek late last month
and was met with strong demand.
The two towers will consist of 1, 2 and 3-bedroom
apartments in the two towers of 30 and 35 storeys. The 240 available units will
range in area from 880 to 2,154 square feet in size and will go on sale from November
15, 2014, at sales events in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Doha.
Ahmad Al Matrooshi, Managing Director of Emaar Properties,
said; “Dubai Creek Residences takes residents back to life at source,
celebrating the cultural, environmental and aesthetic value provided by its
proximity to the Dubai Creek. We received tremendous response to the first
launch, including international investors, who prefer the laidback charm of the
development, while being centrally located in the heart of the city.”
The Dubai Creek Harbour at The Lagoons mega project
will include 3,664 office units, 8 million square feet of retail space, 39,000
residential units and 22 hotels with 4,400 rooms, while the centrepiece will be
The Dubai Twin towers, which will be the tallest twin towers in the world.
This project will take 18 months to complete and
will cost around AED3 billion ($817 million) to build, Mohamed Alabbar,
chairman of Emaar Properties, told Al Arabiya TV in an interview.
