Wataniya is set to offer corporate wireless broadband services, with the deployment of a new Cisco based WAN infrastructure.

The new service, part of Wataniya's Wnet portfolio of online services, will offer primary and back up wireless broadband for business users. The service is intended to provide a reliable and flexible broadband service, that can easily be extended to sites such as temporary or nomadic sites, such as new offices or construction sites.

"Ensuring customer connectivity is at the core of our strategy and Wataniya is continuously seeking state-of-the-art solutions to fulfill customer needs" said Tareq Beidas, data & messaging products manager at Wataniya. "We've been monitoring corporate demand for ongoing connectivity for crucial data traffic and the highest-availability access to business applications for remote sites and branch offices and have found that Cisco will be able to provide us with the reliable and scalable infrastructure that is rapidly deployable and will help ensure an effective alternative to wired connectivity."
